Late legendary guitarist Frank Zappa joined Pink Floyd throughout the iconic British band’s performance on October 25, 1969 at Festival Actuel in Amougies, Belgium. For years audio of the sit-in has circulated, and footage of the landmark collaboration has surfaced.
The evening marked the lone time Zappa shared the stage stage with Drummer Mason, frontman Gilmour, Keyboarder Wright and Bassist Waters. Zappa came on stage for an extended rendition of “Interstellar Overdrive” from Pink Floyd’s 1967 debut LP Piper At The Gates Of Dawn.
