Everyone loves the giant inflatable pig. In fact, it wouldn’t be a Pink Floyd tribute show with out it.
“There is lots of people nudging one another when the pig makes an appearance,” Damian Darlington, the mastermind behind Pink Floyd tribute act Brit Floyd, told The News-Press last yr. “However pretty much all of it gets a reaction!”
By “all of it,” Darlington means his show’s recreation of classic Pink Floyd sings and the prog-rock band’s famously mind-blowing laser-light show. Simply don’t expect Pink Floyd look-alikes. Even when the band dressed like Roger Waters and company, no one would recognize them.
“Pink Floyd, themselves, have all the time been type of anonymous,” said Darlington, who sings and plays guitar in Brit Floyd and also serves as music director. “We are not dressed up in wigs and costumes. The show, itself, is the personality of the band.”
