You Won’t Believe Her Voice!
That opening note to Pink Floyd’s “Wish You Were Here” is always a great indicator of whether or not a singer is able to do the song justice. The Voice competitor Claudia Megrè did just that! With an interesting take on the song’s opening, Claudia and her raspy, bluesy voice had every judge turning around one by one to see exactly who that massive voice could have possibly come from!
Fun Fact: This was a rare case of the Pink Floyd primary songwriters Roger Waters and David Gilmour mutually collaborating on a song – they rarely wrote together
I will admit – I wasn’t sure about Claudia’s ability to tackle such a huge song meant for a voice as big as Gilmour’, but the more she sang, the more I fell in love with her voice. She’s no David Gilmour, but then again, no one is. However, Claudia’s got a voice that propelled her into the hearts of all five judges, whether they wanted her to or not!
